MR Energy Systems will participate at the most important convention on building sustainability, Greenbuild, for the first time in the Euro-mediterranean region with the Greenbuild Euromed in Verona.

MR Energy is part of the official conference program with two speeches from its consultants, with a booth in the exhibition area (Pavilion 4, Booth C3.3), and presenting a tour of the sustainable buildings in Venice.

Buildings in which we work and live, are responsible for 80% of greenhouse gas emissions globally. This is due to energy consumption for lighting, summer air conditioning, winter heating, but also to the use of natural resources and building materials which create additional greenhouse gas emissions while being produced and disposed at the end of their life cycle.

Welldom, with Biocasa_82, commissioned by Claudia and Enrico Moretti Polegato (President Diadora, VP Geox), demonstrated how a building, in this case a residential house, can achieve the highest standards of respect for the environment throughout its entire life cycle, resulting at the same time an extremely comfortable place to live.

Biocasa_82 is compliant with the international standard of sustainability LEED for Homes at ‘Platinum’ level, but Welldom wanted to calculate analytically the reduction of GHG emissions throughout the life cycle, compared to the construction of a traditional building in Class C. This study was commissioned to MR Energy.

Draft EU rules requiring ship owners using EU ports to monitor and report CO2 emissions each year received the support of the House on Tuesday 28th April. The new rules, already informally agreed with the Council of Ministers, will apply from 2018 on to ships over 5,000 gross tons, regardless of the country in which they are registered, as a first step towards cutting their greenhouse gas emissions. At the time being no allowances will have to be surrendered against the reported emissions but an eventual EU ETS link up is possible.

The text will be put to a vote in a forthcoming Council of Ministers meeting in order to come into force on 1 July 2015.

MR Energy Systems will take part in SMAU Padova 2015.

On April 1st and 2nd, we’ll participate to SMAU Padova 2015, where we’ll present some of our innovative services. In particular, we’ll introduce the prototype of BIM it APP, a ‘5D’ scanner application for modeling building interiors.
