MR Energy takes part in D-nest International Inventors Exhibition

MR Energy takes part in D-nest International Inventors Exhibition, the innovation festival held on October 13 to 16 in Venice at the Venice Gate Pavillion.

Innovating also means changing the way you ‘design’ objects, thinking to the energy and climate sustainability since their conception. Visit our stand inside the D-nest International Inventors Exhibition, and discover the story of Kiddy Design, the new line of Kid Pass products, that we have helped in developing a study of environmental impacts through a special LCA.

The pavilion hosting the event, the Venice Gate Pavillon, is LEED Gold certified. MR Energy Systems has supported the designers and builders in order to predict the consumption of the building and optimize it, by taking all measures to reduce the impact of construction and operation phases. The building has been certified by a third party independent organization using the LEED protocol.

This is innovation!

2015 Energy saving communication by March 31 2016

In compliance with art. 7 paragraph 8 of D.Lgs. 102/2014, companies that implement an energy management system ISO 5000, large companies and companies with high energy intensity that have fulfilled their obligation to carry out an Energy Audit by December 5th 2015, shall report to ENEA by March 31st 2016 the energy savings achieved in 2015.

As clarified by the Ministry of Economic Development in May 2015 “The obligation lies with the companies, and is referred to all of their production sites, including those excluded from obligation of energy audit due to the clustering process. The savings to be reported are those aroused both from efficiency improvements in the production cycle and from any other changes, even behavioral, in the management of the production cycle itself. The savings should be reported […] only if greater than 1% of the previous year’s consumption.”

Ships’ CO2 emissions: MEPs approve new reporting rules

Draft EU rules requiring ship owners using EU ports to monitor and report CO2 emissions each year received the support of the House on Tuesday 28th April. The new rules, already informally agreed with the Council of Ministers, will apply from 2018 on to ships over 5,000 gross tons, regardless of the country in which they are registered, as a first step towards cutting their greenhouse gas emissions. At the time being no allowances will have to be surrendered against the reported emissions but an eventual EU ETS link up is possible.

The text will be put to a vote in a forthcoming Council of Ministers meeting in order to come into force on 1 July 2015.
